Work With Us

The Indianapolis Airport Authority (IAA) is made up of an award-winning, innovate team focused on achieving excellence. IAA staff represent a high-performing culture that fosters world-class service to enhance the community. Whether that's the traveling public or Central Indiana community, our staff is "One of a KIND!"

Diversity at IND

The IAA has been honored with a variety of diversity and inclusion awards recognizing our commitment to leadership in diversity, supporting and participating in diverse organizations, and our supplier diversity program for business opportunities.

We're focused on hiring diverse leadership and in seeking more diversity in hires throughout the organization. To date, more than 50% of the IAA's senior leadership is made up of women or racial minorities. Nearly 35% of IAA's professional staff includes women or racial minorities.

Benefits

Medical Insurance

IAA offers three medical plan options (PPO, HSA Core, HSA Saver) through the Anthem 360 Health Program where preventive care is paid in full. Employee contributions are broken down into bands based on salary.

Dental Insurance

IAA offers two dental plan options for employees to choose from as well as single and family options through Delta. Basic and major services are covered for your choice of an in-network or out-of-network provider plan.

Vision Insurance

IAA offers vision insurance through Anthem. Blue vision has an extensive network of national vision providers. Exams, frames and lenses are covered through in-network and out-of-network plans.

Added Insurance Benefits

IAA offers group life insurance and disability insurance to all employees. Additionally, employees may elect optional plans for insurance such as whole life insurance, accident insurance, and critical illness insurance.

Flexible Spending Accounts

IAA provides a FSA through Chard Snyder. Contributions to FSA's come out of your paycheck before taxes. Each employee contributes a pre-selected amount each month to their FSA, if desired.

Retirement Planning

The Deferred Compensation Plan 457(b) is a voluntary retirement savings program offered by the IAA to all employees. Employees may elect pre-tax contributions from an array of financial plans.

Work Life Balance

The IAA has a schedule of paid holidays and offers vacation time, sick time, and personal time on an accrual basis for employees to use, as needed.

Volunteer Opportunities

The IAA values the connection with our community and every employee is given the ability to request time off during their work day to volunteer for a nonprofit organization. Up to 16 paid hours are available for employees to volunteer in the community.

Employee Recognition

IAA celebrates great employees and encourages all employers to do the same. We're committed to putting our customers and travelers first always. We're proud to have a staff dedicated to that mission. The RITE (Respect, Integrity, Trust, Excellence) Awards recognizes employees who have gone above and beyond and truly live out our core values of respect, integrity, trust and excellence.

Diversity & Inclusion Awards

Our commitment to diversity and inclusion shows through numerous local and national recognition. Mayor Joe Hogsett recognized the IAA in the 2016 Mayor's Celebration of Diversity Awards. Airports Council International named the IAA an Inclusion Champion and Indiana Minority Business Magazine named the IAA a Champion of Diversity. In addition, Mayor Greg Ballard recognized the IAA in the 2014 Access and Inclusion Awards.

ROSE Award

ROSE Award honorees are true goodwill ambassadors for their companies and the city. The mission of the Visit Indy ROSE Award is to honor non-managerial hospitality employees or volunteers who provide excellent customer service. These industry champions, through one-on-one or behind-the-scenes contact, positively influence a visitor's experience in Indianapolis. In 2016, IAA Shuttle Driver, Hafedh Khemir, was honored with a ROSE Award.
