Global Citizen

Purdue University art professor Petrônio Bendito combines visual experimentation in color and pattern with photographs taken from his worldwide travels, including his native country of Brazil, in an installation that reminds us that we live in a globalized society. The installation, titled Global Citizen, also includes related works that elaborate on how we perceive color. The installation can be seen in the Ticket Hall.

About the Artist: Petrônio Bendito is an inter-media artist, visual communications designer, color researcher, and digital culturalist. Originally from Brazil, his primary research interests are in computational color design methods and digital esthetics. He collaborates with musicians, dancers choreographers, mathematicians and computer scientists, and has exhibited internationally.
