Southwest Airlines® inaugural non-stop flight to Los Angeles takes off Sunday

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis International Airport (IND) is giving our community more options for business and leisure travel: this Sunday, June 7th, Southwest Airlines® begins daily service between IND and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

Sunday’s inaugural flight to LAX is the latest in a series of new offerings from Southwest, now IND’s leading airline for departures and seat capacity. Nonstop service to Dallas debuted in April; new service to Boston begins later this month. Since 2014, IND has added 19 airline/destinations, the most in more than a decade. Currently, passengers can travel to 39 nonstop destinations from the Indianapolis International Airport.

Last month, Southwest also announced two new daily nonstop flights to LaGuardia airport in New York. Those flights begin November 1st, 2015.
