The Indianapolis Airport Authority unveiled one of its largest and longest-scheduled exhibits in the history of the Indianapolis International Airport. The Tuskegee Airmen: America’s Freedom Flyers exhibit honors the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen, with historical artifacts and the airmen’s story filling every exhibit case throughout the Indy airport.

Indy Airport Anticipates Busiest Fall Break Travel Season Yet

Passengers strongly encouraged to arrive two hours before boarding time

Fall Break 2025 could reach new records, possibly landing among the top 10 busiest days ever at IND. The TSA Checkpoints will open at 3:00 a.m. on Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays to accommodate increased traffic. Arrive at least two hours early for a smooth travel experience. Garage parking may be full. Travelers are encouraged to give themselves extra time and explore alternative forms of transportation to arrive at the airport. IND has extended dining and retail hours during peak travel days and added new local restaurant options.

As concrete for the first floor of the new Westin Indianapolis Airport Hotel is being poured, the IAA is standing on rock-solid financial footing. Each of the big three rating agencies – Fitch Ratings, Moody’s Investor Services and Standard and Poor’s Global Ratings -- have assessed the IAA with a “stable outlook” ranging from A+ to A. IAA’s credit rating reflects a strong financial position and a stable, diverse market.
