New Signature Flight Support facility opens at Indianapolis International Airport

INDIANAPOLIS—Signature Flight Support today celebrated the grand opening of its new executive terminal at Indianapolis International Airport (IND). The facility, a striking 6,500 square foot glass and steel structure, will serve as the front door to the community’s corporate and business travelers—as well as those arriving to participate in the city’s numerous car races and other sporting events each year.

“Indianapolis has the reputation of being an elite city for hosting world-class events, and Signature's new terminal will certainly give visitors a great and lasting first impression of Indianapolis,” said Indianapolis Deputy Mayor Steve Campbell, who helped cut the ribbon on the new facility.

Geoff Heck, regional vice president for Signature, was also on hand to commemorate the event. “I would like thank the City of Indianapolis, the Indianapolis Airport Authority, and BAA Indianapolis—the firm which manages the airport—for their support of this project. We appreciate the opportunity of welcoming visitors to the city and look forward to serving them for many years to come.” Heck noted that this is one of four Signature executive terminal construction projects currently underway around the country, the others being at Boston-Logan International Airport (BOS), Palwaukee Municipal Airport (PWK) in Chicago and Palm Springs International Airport (PSP).

The grand opening of Signature’s newest executive terminal occurs in time for the NCAA Final Four basketball tournament, which is being held in Indianapolis beginning April 1. The FBO has already received numerous parking reservations for the event. According to Signature IND general manager Dennis Provo, the FBO is well prepared for the influx of teams and supporters the tournament will bring. Provo and his staff handle hundreds of aircraft arrivals and departures during the city's three major professional car races each summer.
