Hendricks County Airport–Gordon Graham Field open house set for Saturday, July 18 at 10 a.m.
DANVILLE—Looking for a fun activity next weekend? Bring the whole family or gather a group of friends and head to Hendricks County Airport for an open house from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 18. Admission is free.
The open house, which will be held rain or shine, will include a display of new Cessna aircraft as well as experimental aircraft. Attendees can meet and talk with pilots, tour a general aviation airport, and learn more about flight training opportunities.
For those who want to experience the thrill of flying, the center will offer “discovery flights” for a special $90 rate. Attendees may also register for free flights and need not be present to win. Hot dogs and soft drinks will be provided.
The open house is sponsored by Hendricks County Aviation, which operates Indiana’s newest Cessna Pilot Center. The center offers both flight training and aircraft rentals using a 2005 Cessna 172 featuring the Garmin G1000 glass panel, which is the safest, most modern training aircraft on the market today.
Looking for a unique, memorable gift or way to celebrate a special occasion? Hendricks County Aviation also offers flight gift certificates.
The event will be held at the Hendricks County Airport at 2749 Gordon Graham Blvd., just south of U.S. 36 between Avon and Danville on County Road 300 East.
