Frontier Airlines announces new nonstop flight from IND to Orlando
New service to the Sunshine State begins in October; tickets on sale now
INDIANAPOLIS— Travelers heading to sunny Orlando will soon have a new, convenient way to get there as Frontier Airlines announces nonstop service from Indianapolis International Airport (IND) to Orlando International Airport (MCO).
Tickets are available for purchase beginning today; service begins October 25, 2015. Flights will leave IND daily at 3:45 p.m. and arrive in Orlando at 6:05 p.m. Returning flights will depart Orlando at 2:45 p.m. and arrive in Indianapolis at 5:05 p.m. (all times local).
“We are pleased to join with Frontier in announcing this new travel option to Orlando,” said IAA executive director Mario Rodriguez. “Florida is consistently a top destination for Hoosier travelers and any time we can offer an additional, convenient way to get there is a plus for everyone.”
Frontier began operating at IND in May, 2002, with its first flight to Denver International Airport (DEN). Earlier this year, the airline began offering a nonstop daily flight to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) with same-plane direct service from ATL to Miami International Airport (MIA). Frontier also offers Saturday service from IND to Cancun Airport (CUN) in Mexico.
“We are excited to offer even more low fare service for Indianapolis with these new flights,” said Daniel Shurz, chief commercial officer. “The Indianapolis community has responded positively to our Low Fares Done Right philosophy, and we appreciate its support.”
