Airport, airline, and cargo officials host media availability Friday at 11:30 a.m. in Civic Plaza
Interview & photo opportunity regarding historic, innovative 2011–15 airline use agreement
WHAT | Indianapolis Airport Authority (IAA) officials, airline executives, and a FedEx representative will be available for interviews and photo opportunities in Civic Plaza at Indianapolis International Airport (IND).
WHY | Answer questions and discuss terms of the 2011–15 airline use agreement. This agreement is the most innovative in IAA’s 80-year history and it sets a new industry standard, according to airport business partners. It will make IND more attractive for new and expanded air service over the next five years. Note: The airline use agreement is the foundation upon which airlines will operate at Indianapolis International through 2015. It determines airline costs for doing business at IND and defines the rates and charges the airport authority will assess for leased space in the terminal, landed aircraft weights, and parking on the tarmac, among other key operations. A three-page news release (including specific details/highlights/and overview of the agreement and how it compares to other airports and cities) will be provided to reporters who attend. The release will be broadly distributed immediately following conclusion of interviews or by 1 p.m.
