Air Canada Is Back, Flying out of Indy Airport for Toronto
After two-year halt, new daily nonstop flight will restart Sunday
INDIANAPOLIS (May 12, 2022) – Air Canada will once again fly out of the Indianapolis International Airport (IND) on May 15 when it restarts its daily nonstop flight to Toronto (YYZ), after halting the flight in 2020 due to the pandemic.
The daily nonstop will fly out Sunday around 4:30 p.m. via a 50-seater CRJ200 aircraft headed for Air Canada’s global hub at Toronto-Pearson International Airport (YYZ).
“Hoosiers are becoming more open to travel again, as well as international travel,” said Mario Rodriguez, executive director of the Indianapolis Airport Authority. “As of the end of March, more than 20,000 passengers have flown internationally through Indy, a 205 percent increase over the same time period last year.”
Air Canada will also launch a second daily flight to Toronto on June 1, bringing their flight frequency from Indianapolis back to 2019 levels.
Toronto-Pearson (YYZ) is Air Canada’s global hub and gives travelers a connection point to the rest of the world, via a convenient nonstop flight from Indy.
