Jonathan Weinzapfel
General Counsel
Jonathan Weinzapfel joined the Indianapolis Airport Authority as General Counsel in January 2022. Prior to joining the IAA, Jonathan served in leadership positions as Interim CEO of Indiana United Ways, Chancellor of the Ivy Tech Community College Evansville Campus, Mayor of the City of Evansville, and Indiana State Representative in District 76. Jonathan has also practiced law in Evansville and Indianapolis over the past 21 years, focusing largely on economic development, municipal law, and public policy.
Jonathan earned his B.A. in Chemistry from Indiana University in Bloomington, M.A. in Liberal Studies from Georgetown University, and J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. He and his wife Patricia have three college-aged children and a pandemic rescue dog.
