IAA Internship Program

The Indianapolis Airport Authority (IAA) is made up of an award-winning, innovative team focused on achieving excellence. That mindset extends to our interns, and we're always looking for young leaders to join us for our summer internship program.

This year’s summer internship program runs from May 13 – August 2, 2024. Submit your application by April 12 for consideration.

What do I get with an IAA internship?

    • Paid summer internship program, usually 12 weeks long
    • Real-world experience within your educational pursuits and interests
    • Introduction to the aviation industry and airport management
    • Access to all levels of employees, including 1-1 time with executive leadership
    • Job shadow rotation with all departments for cross-departmental learning
    • Complete real-world projects; build your resume and portfolio
    • Attend IAA community events, including inaugural flights, public art, etc.
    • Tours of the IAA airport system and the Indianapolis International Airport (IND)
    • Access to networking events and volunteer opportunities in Indianapolis

    Employ Indy and Ascend Indiana launched an apprenticeship model for Indy high school students to prepare them for a future in high-demand industries. This program provides work-based learning experiences.
