In-Vision

Category: Temporary

Sherry Polley's artworks combine spontaneous design with systematic methods of creation. Their energetic marks and bold color harmonies are guided by her senses. The techniques used to translate these designs into vinyl are highly structured and meticulous. The resulting artworks are at once wildly free, and decidedly intentional.

In her work, Polley uses abstraction to imagine what is possible. Creating this way allows her to symbolically cast off the limitations that have held her back from hope. The works speak of having the courage to dream and to invest oneself in those dreams. Like a north star, they encourage her to keep believing in the paths that she pursues.
