De Aquí y De Allá: Raíces a Través de Fronteras
Esta exposición reúne a artistas latinos que rechazan la noción de ser "ni de aquí, ni de allá": la idea de no pertenecer ni a Estados Unidos ni a sus países de origen. A través de sus obras, los artistas exploran las complejidades del desplazamiento cultural, la identidad y las raíces que trascienden fronteras. Cada perspectiva es única, cada historia es válida y, en este espacio, todas encuentran un lugar de pertenencia.
Los artistas de esta exposición han participado en el Latino Artist Mentorship Program (LAMP), un programa de mentoría especializado para artistas latinos en Indiana. El programa tiene como objetivo apoyar a los artistas en el desarrollo de habilidades relacionadas con sus carreras artísticas, fomentar la creación de comunidad entre ellos y brindar oportunidades de empleo y de exhibición.
From Here and There: Roots Across Borders
This exhibition brings together Latino artists who reject the notion of being “from neither here nor there”—the idea that they belong neither in the United States nor in their countries of origin. Through their work, the artists explore the complexities of cultural displacement, identity, and the roots that transcend borders. Each perspective is unique, every story is valid, and within this space, all find a place of belonging.
The artists in this exhibition have participated in the Latino Artist Mentorship Program (LAMP), a specialized mentorship program for Latino artists in Indiana. The program exists to support artists in developing skills related to their artistic careers, building community among themselves, and providing employment and exhibition opportunities.
