Indy Airport to Host Virtual Meeting, Detail Concessionaire Opportunities

Public information session to showcase food, beverage concept locations

INDIANAPOLIS (Oct. 15, 2021) -- The Indianapolis Airport Authority will host a virtual public information session on Oct. 19, 2021, at 1 p.m. to present food and beverage operators with information about upcoming short-term and long-term leasing opportunities to propose on two open locations in the Indianapolis International Airport (IND).

The first opportunity involves a 4,038 square-foot post-security location in Concourse B with an additional 1,200 square-foot available patio space with a request for a full-service sit-down bar/open kitchen concept. The second opportunity involves a 670 square-foot pre-security location in Baggage Claim with a request for a coffee/tea or non-alcoholic specialty beverage concept. Operators are encouraged to bring a local flavor and flair to their concept to provide a sense of place at the terminal highlighting the local community.

This virtual event is part of the IAA’s larger, multi-year concessions refresh initiative to bring a balance of national and local brands to the Indy airport terminal showcasing local foods, beverages and brands that directly represent the Indianapolis culture and experience. This upcoming public information session is among a series of information and networking forums the IAA has provided over the years throughout the concessions refresh initiative to inform and bring prime contractors, subcontractors and diverse suppliers together to learn more about open opportunities and what is involved in operating a business at IND.

Businesses eligible for the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise or Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise programs and local businesses are encouraged to attend. Current experience operating concessions at an airport is not required.
