Good Wages Initiative

The IAA is proud to be a certified Good Wages choice employer. The Good Wages Initiative certifies, celebrates, and showcases Marion County employers committed to providing full-time employees both a wage of at least $18/hr and access to employer-sponsored health insurance benefits.

Benefits

Medical Insurance

IAA offers three medical plan options (PPO, HSA Core, HSA Saver) through Anthem where preventive care is paid in full. Employee contributions are broken down into bands based on salary. With the HSA Core plan, employer provides contributions.

Hearing Aid Benefit

As part of the medical plan, employees have access to a Hearing Aid Benefit. Benefits will cover Hearing Aids and related services with an allowance per calendar year.

Dental Insurance

IAA offers two dental plan options for employees to choose from as well as single and family options through Delta Dental. Basic and major services are covered for your choice of an in-network or out-of-network provider plan.

Vision Insurance

IAA offers vision insurance through Anthem. Blue vision has an extensive network of national vision providers. Exams, frames and lenses are covered through in-network and out-of-network plans.

Flexible Spending Accounts

IAA provides a FSA through Chard Snyder. Contributions to FSA's come out of your paycheck before taxes. Each employee contributes a pre-selected amount each month to their FSA, if desired.

Marathon Health Clinic

Free healthcare services for employees on any of the Indianapolis Airport Authority medical plans, Marathon offers freestanding, interconnected health centers strategically located throughout the Indianapolis area with expanded hours on evenings and weekends and access to care teams including physicians, nurse practitioners, physician's assistants, nurses, behavioral health counselors, physical therapists, registered dieticians, health coaches, certified diabetes instructors, and more.

Retirement Planning

The Deferred Compensation Plan 457(b) is a voluntary retirement savings program offered to all employees. Employees may elect pre-tax contributions from an array of financial plans.

Group Life & Disability

Group life insurance and disability insurance is offered to all full-time employees as an employer-paid benefit.

Added Insurance Benefits

Employees may elect optional plans for insurance such as whole life insurance, accident insurance, and critical illness insurance through Boston Mutual.

Pet Insurance

As an optional benefit for our pet-loving employees, the My Pet Protection from Nationwide offers options to meet every budget.

Work Life Balance

With a schedule of paid holidays and vacation time, sick time, and personal time offered on an accrual basis. Employees can also donate their time to colleagues in need.

Employee Assistance Program

The Employee Assistance Program provides confidential counseling and referral services to all employees at no extra cost to you.

New Parent Leave

Full-Time Eligible employees who have been employed for at least 12 months may take up to 6 consecutive weeks (30 workdays) of Family Care Leave for a birth or adoption of a child: all 6 of those weeks will be compensated at 100 percent (100%) of the employee’s regular pay. Part-Time Eligible Employees who work a minimum of 25 hours per week and have been employed for at least 12 months may be eligible and the number of weeks of paid leave will be pro-rated based on length of service and percentage of time worked.

Elder Social/Emotional Care

Up to an annual amount of $5,000 to help pay for care for immediate family members of eligible employees age 62 or older to enable the employee to be gainfully employed, for the primary purpose of assuming the immediate family member's social/emotional wellbeing.

Child Care Reimbursement

Up to an annual amount of $10,000 to help pay for care for a dependent child of eligible employees to enable the employee to be gainfully employed, for the primary purpose of assuming the child's or children’s wellbeing and protection.

Educational Assistance Program

The Indianapolis Airport Authority (IAA) understands the skills and knowledge of its employees are critical to the success of the organization and, in turn, the community. Investing in equitable opportunities for development and higher education and partnering with educational institutions in Indiana helps to foster our high performing culture and adds public value to our community. The Educational Assistance Program encourages personal development by providing up to $5,250 each year in tuition reimbursement or both degree and certificate programs to motivate employees to maintain and/or improve job-related skills and enhance their ability to compete for jobs within the IAA.

Transparency Coverage Rule Anthem

On November 12, 2020, the Departments of Health and Human Services, Labor, and the Treasury finalized the Transparency in Coverage Rule that requires health insurers and group health plans to create a price comparison tool and post publicly available machine-readable files that include in-network negotiated payment rates and historical out-of-network charges for covered items and services, including prescription drugs.

Modern Apprenticeship Program
